Orange Shirt Day: Every Child Matters

J.T. Waugh Elementary proudly observed Orange Shirt Day, a day dedicated to learning about truth, reconciliation, and Indigenous heritage.
High school Seneca language students visited Waugh classrooms to share lessons in Seneca language and traditions, explaining why we wear orange and what the message Every Child Matters represents.
The day concluded with students placing orange pinwheels outside the school—a visual reminder of hope, unity, and remembrance.
💚🧡 J.T. Waugh stands united in honoring the message that Every Child Matters.
