John T. Waugh Elementary School

J.T. Waugh Elementary celebrated World Kindness Day with a visit from local author Lisa Bogner, who spent time with students sharing stories and talking about the impact of everyday kindness.

Bogner read from her book and led conversations about how kind actions — helping a classmate, including someone new, or choosing gentle words — can change how a classroom feels. Students were engaged and eager to share how they show kindness at school and at home.

At the end of each session, every student received a copy of Bogner’s book to take home, giving them a meaningful reminder of the day’s message.
